The collection contains books, newsletters and press cuttings collected and arranged by TUCRIC to serve the information needs of women's groups, community groups and trade unions.

Biography or history

TUCRIC was set up in 1978 in Leeds to serve the information needs of women’s groups, community groups and trade unions. The centre held material on women, and was run by Jane Stageman as co-ordinator. TUCRIC offered a reference library, a telephone & drop in enquiry service, education & advice sessions, a quarterly news bulleting and other publications, research, and typing, duplicating, photocopying facilities. All material was donated to FAN following the closure of TUCRIC.
