The book begins '[index] Almond'. Recipes are ascribed to 'Mrs. Gorden' (p.10), 'Raffald' (p.45), 'Miss Hall' (p.48), 'Mrs. Masterson' (p.198) and 'Mr. Webb' (p.226).
Contemporary pagination: [xxxv] 1-360 [3], with two unnumbered pages between 74 and 75. Pages 51-197, 201, 203, 221, 223, 225, 227, 229, 231, 233, 235, 237, 239, 243, 245-6, 249-359, 362 and 363 are all blank. Text from p.360 to end is inverted.
