Description
Album of photographs of interiors, exteriors and plans of Department of Textile Industries at the Yorkshire College (University of Leeds), funded by the Clothworkers Company. The Album contains 3 pages of associates and staff details, 4 architectual plans and 37 photographs with descriptions, mainly of interiors (one image missing). The text lists College hierachy, Committee members and Teaching Staff (led by Roberts Beaumont). Images include professors' rooms, lecture rooms, staircases, the museum, weaving sheds, machinery, laboratories, dyehouses, design and art studios, and exteriors of the buildings. Some text has been crossed out or adapted when the College became a University.
