Otto von Sonnenberg, the dedicatee, died in March 1491.

Late nineteenth- or early twentieth-century binding of half vellum and brown mottled paper over pasteboard. Written directly onto the smooth spine in black ink manuscript is the name: Aeneas Silvius. Size: 200 x 145mm. Leaf size: 195 x 135mm.

Cutting from a sale catalogue on the front pastedown and underneath the price in pencil manuscript: £21.


Small blue and white armorial bookplate of Lord Brotherton on the front pastedown. The book was most likely acquired after 17 June 1929 when Sir Edward Allen Brotherton was created Baron Brotherton of Wakefield.
