Exhibition Preview: Mohammad Barrangi

Immerse yourself in the dreamlike universe of Leeds-based Iranian artist Mohammad Barrangi at the exclusive preview of his new exhibition, 'One Night, One Dream, Life in the Lighthouse'.

Part of Foxglove’s citywide Smeaton300 programme, ‘One Night, One Dream, Life in the Lighthouse’ brings Mohammad Barrangi's unique and inventive printmaking process together with sculpture, installation and sound, and explores notions of home, childhood and migration. During his residency in the University’s Special Collections, Barrangi found inspiration for this new body of work in everything from Persian calligraphy, Middle Eastern textiles and manuscripts, and European scientific illustrations.

Join us for the first look at this brand-new work in the company of the artist – and raise a glass to John Smeaton while you’re at it!
