W.Imlah (GS) Letter 26.8.17 - Aeroplane shot down. Had to get information. Eventually reached the plane which was in a water-filled hole. Retrieved the airman’s wallet from his body, but came under fire from two German planes. Enemy artillery opened up, followed by the British. After much adventure finally reached safety.
