Note: Twenty five letters and three postcards. Letter for 13 March 1951 has carbon copy of A.R.'s reply, dated 18 March on reverse; the top copy of the reply (listed separately) is unsigned (not sent ?). Two letters from Margaret Renold to A.R. are attached to the letter of 13 Aug 1957. Two copies of letter dated 9 Oct 1952; both are photocopies, attached to letters to Evgenia Ransome from M Brozicevic (Granada Publishing), 22 Oct 1971, and J C Reynolds, also 22 Oct 1971. Letter of 24 Nov 1955 encloses copy of Hart-Davis' letter to Sir Rowland Jerram. Many letters relate to 'The Mariner's library' series of books.
