Typed transcript: original at Brontë Parsonage Museum. 4) Mr Nicholls' behaviour has led her to believe that letters from her to Charlotte Brontë still exist, although the latter had said she would destroy all correspondence dating from before her marriage. Relations between them so bad she does not feel able to contact him. Resentment at his treatment of Charlotte's surviving relatives and appropriation of all her property.
