Statements about his own eyesight and its gradual improvement. Sympathy with Sir James and Lady Kay Shuttleworth in their bereavement and ill-health. Hopes that "my dear daughter" will get better soon and write. An extract was printed in "The life and work of Sir James Kay Shuttleworth" by Frank Smith, 1923.
