Note: 3pp. 4to. A most interesting love-letter written by Maria Branwell to the Revd P Brontë shortly before their wedding. The letter commences "My dear Saucy Pat" and expresses the deepest affection.

Hopes that "my dear daughter" will get better soon and write. An extract was printed in "The life and work of Sir James Kay Shuttleworth" by Frank Smith, 1923.
