Note: Siegfried Sassoon, the poet, was born on 8 September 1886, and educated at Marlborough, and Clare College, Cambridge. During the war he served in France and Palestine, and many of his letters to Edmund Gosse were written in this period. His publications include "The Daffodil Murderer", "The Old Huntsman", "Counterattack", and "Collected War Poems". At Harlech with R.
