Thompson wrote the programme notes for the performance of "Caractacus" at the Leeds Festival in October 1898. 3) Books and maps on Garmisch; sends score of part of "Caractacus"; its themes and difficulty in orchestration. 4) Corrects a number of points raised by Thompson [probably in connection with "Caractacus"].
