Funder requirements
AHRC
The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) require that you:
- Write a data management plan (DMP) for all projects (not required for Research Networking).
- Deposit data in any suitable data repository (archaeology data to be deposited with the Archaeology Data Service).
- Handle data in line with the University of Leeds data management policy.
- Email draft plans for comment to the Research Data team.
AHRC guidance and examples
The AHRC offers data management guidelines, including section headings for the data management plan.
The following examples are technical plans. These were discontinued in March 2018 but give an idea of what might be included in a data management plan:
The Professional Career and Output of Trevor Jones (PDF): this technical plan was highly rated by peer reviewers. It is for a large project which involved digitising an archive of film music.
Virtual Holocaust Memory (PDF): data outputs from the project include several videos and a project website.
