Embracing the Final Chapter
Skills@Library is hosting an online event: Embracing the Final Chapter, on Wednesday 28 April at 13:00 – 16:00, to demystify the research project process, provide tips, signpost resources and motivate you to undertake the challenge with confidence!
This free event is open to all taught postgraduate Masters students preparing for dissertations. It will consist of short keynotes from a senior researcher, a Skills@Library Learning Advisor, as well as an Associate Professor. There will then be three 30-minute parallel sessions covering the following key topics:
- How to develop a research question, methodology and methods
- Writing a literature review
- Discussing results and making recommendations.
You can attend as many, or as few, sessions as you want, and in any order. Please book a place in advance to avoid missing out.
In the meantime, take a look at our online resources, where you can find advice on various academic skills topics.
If you are a taught Masters student, you could book onto a "Shut up and write!" session to boost your productivity. These do not involve any teaching but offer a framework and supportive environment for you to focus on your own work. If you have any queries about this session please contact the Research Support Team.
