Library collection development and management

The Library's approach to developing and managing its collections is driven by the Collections Strategy (PDF).

Individual subject collections are managed at school level, in line with the overall policy above. Most subjects have a formal Acquisitions Policy, agreed between the school's library representative and the faculty team librarian, which outlines the main areas for collection development. Contact us for more information.

Information on the Library's Resource Allocation Model (RAM), our procedures for buying reading list items, our procedures for stock editing and disposal, and our policy on accepting gifts and deposits can be found on these webpages.
