Open Access Week 21-27 October
Published Wednesday 11 September 2013
What are you doing to celebrate?
Open Access Week, a global event, is an opportunity for the research community to learn more about the potential benefits of Open Access publishing.
Open Access publishing means free, immediate, online access to the results of scholarly research, and the right to use and re-use those results. It offers researchers the chance to make your research output more visible.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Attend the University of Leeds Open Access Fair Monday 14 October 10:00 to 16:00 in Parkinson Court (free and open to all)
In preparation for Open Access Week, the University of Leeds will be hosting its first Open Access Fair. The Fair will be an opportunity for researchers at any level to find out more about Open Access and how making your publications freely available can raise the profile, and maximise the impact, of your research.
Sign up for an Open Access briefingAs part of the celebrations, we will be running two special Open Access sessions:
- Tuesday 22 October, 14:30-15:30 Introduction to Open Access
- Wednesday 23 October, 12:15-12:45 Digital Dates on Open Access.
