Get ready for research with Final Chapter

Improve your research preparation powers with the Undergraduate Dissertation Conference and Final Chapter.

Final Chapter is the online guide for completing your research project at undergraduate or taught postgraduate level.

Final Chapter takes you through choosing your topic to researching, structuring your chapters and writing up you work. In each section there's advice that can be incorporated into different types of project – as well as tips from students who have been through it and from academic staff who supervise projects. There are also examples of good practice to draw from.

Starting on Monday 13 November, we are running our weeklong online Undergraduate Dissertation Conference. Each session runs from 11am – 12:30pm, covering different subjects including gathering and analysing data, literature review, reading and writing critically, time management and first-hand advice from Skills@Library Staff and postgrad researchers. This is extremely popular every year so be sure to book your free space ASAP.

We also run research project workshops throughout the year to help with the different stages of your project. Check the Skills@Library taught student workshops and webinars page for the latest workshops or to sign up to their mailing list.

For more information about workshops, make sure to sign up to our Library mailing list and follow us on Instagram for regular updates.
