The Library Survey is open to all staff and students to express what you love, hate, need and want from us. There’s also the chance to win one £500 or one of five £50 Amazon or One4all vouchers, just by telling us what you really think.

The survey runs once every two years. The results inform real-world changes to Library services and facilities. For example, in previous years, many people requested plug sockets in the Brotherton reading room. This wasn’t a trivial task due to the Grade II listing and old infrastructure in the Brotherton Library, but now there is full power and lighting to all desks in the round reading room. The Library Survey gives you the power... literally!

The more people respond, the clearer a picture we get about the changes we need to make to improve your experience. It also allows us to give you more of what you love about the libraries, from our galleries and Cultural Collections to our academic support.

The survey is used by libraries around the world to track, understand and act on users’ opinions of service quality. This means we can compare our services against those from peer institutions to ensure our services are world-class.

The survey closes at midnight on Monday 24 Novemeber.
