Flying start

A new website prepares students for studying at the University of Leeds.

The Library has launched Flying Start, a resource to help new first year students quickly adapt to how to study effectively and independently at university.

Studying at university can be a challenge for new students as the methods used and skills needed are different from school or college. Flying Start provides practical advice, videos and tips to help students of all disciplines to adjust to the demands of studying at university.

The website is available for new students as soon as they receive their A-level results so they can prepare for the first year of university and get the most out of their time at Leeds.

Have a look at the Flying Start website and let us know what you think.
