Surreal, mysterious landscapes by contemporary Leeds artist

The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery opened an exhibition of new and unseen works by contemporary Leeds-based artist Christopher P. Wood on 12 December 12, which runs to 23 March 2013.

Christopher P. Wood brings traditional painting techniques and his abilities as skilled draughtsman together with an abstract, often expressionistic sensibility to create surreal, mysterious landscapes infused with animism, shamanic figures and an enigmatic collection of personal symbols.

Part of the University Library, the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery is a hidden gem at the heart of the University of Leeds campus, located in the Parkinson Court.

Entrance is free for visitors to experience the University's exceptional art collection.
