Special Collections takedown policy

The University of Leeds respects the rights of copyright holders and their representatives. The University endeavours to ensure that all content hosted on the Special Collections website is compliant with UK Copyright law.

If you wish to report a copyright infringement please notify Special Collections. To expedite your enquiry it would be helpful to include full contact details for the Copyright holder and sufficient evidence to identify the location of the material, such as a URL or classmark.

1. Complaints will be acknowledged and an initial assessment will be undertaken. We aim to acknowledge and assess the complaint within 3 working days.

2. Where grounds for complaint are reasonable and credible, the material will be withdrawn from public view until our assessment is complete.

3. Please note it may be necessary for us to seek legal advice before the complaint can be fully resolved.

4. If any complaint is found to be well founded, the material will be permanently withdrawn from the Special Collections website.
