William Ainsworth Wildman

Born in Manchester, Wildman studied at the Manchester School of Art before moving to London. A painter of figures and landscapes, as well as an etcher, he exhibited regularly with the Royal Society of British Artists from 1906 until 1940 (he was made a member in 1926). Wildman also exhibited at the Royal Academy, and with several of the independent London galleries, including the Carfax Gallery in June 1918. Manchester City Art Gallery holds a number of his works.
