Ainslie Yule

Born in North Berwick, Scotland, Ainslie Yule was Gregory Fellow in Sculpture at the University of Leeds from 1974-5. In his sculpture, he uses wood, plastics and ceramics. His work is concerned largely with the poetics of form seeking an inherent significance through shape, texture and colour, or the processes of construction, rather than any direct association.
