Liz Neilly

Profile

20+ years of experience working in University of Leeds Libraries. First joined in 2000 on a Graduate Trainee program, I continued working at Leeds whilst undertaking my PG qualification and held roles in almost all sections of the Library before moving into leadership and management roles focused on research support. Currently providing strategic oversight and direction to the Library’s Research Services section, with an emphasis on research intelligence, ensuring services meet the needs of the UoL research community. Joint winner of inaugural Research Culture award: Responsible research and innovation (2022). Problem solver, pug lover and rescuer, advocate of staff development, wellbeing, positive working environment and research culture.  

Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership and oversight of the Library’s research intelligence services.
  • Co-lead: Symplectic Management Group, Dig Trans Research Man. Systems (re. Symplectic).
  • Member: Responsible Research Metrics, Research Integrity, RLUK Open Strategy, UK Univ res metric gp.

Qualifications

  • MSc in Information Studies.
