Profile
As part of the Research Services Team at the Libraries, I support the University’s Open Access approach by checking copyright, metadata and publisher policies for research deposited in the White Rose Research Repository (WRRO), and by liaising with staff, students and publishers to help ensure University compliance. In my previous role, I provided front-line Library customer services and led outreach events for lifelong learning, mature and prospective students.
For 13 years I worked as a legal journal editor for Thomson Reuters/Sweet & Maxwell and as a current awareness writer for legal companies. I was trained by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and specialised in plain English editing and writing.
Responsibilities
- Creating and updating metadata across the University publications database and repositories
- Supporting the researcher enquiry service
- Co-chair of Research Services Space Squad, member of L&WE Cultural Shift Group, Go Fund Me Committee
