Profile

I lead the Libraries’ Executive team to deliver Knowledge for All: University of Leeds Libraries Vision for 2030 in alignment with the University’s institutional strategy, Universal Values, Global Change. I provide strategic oversight for our Libraries, Collections and Galleries, ensuring they accelerate our academic mission in the service of student education and experience, research and innovation and cultural and civic engagement.

My remit spans a diverse and complex estate encompassing the Brotherton Library, Edward Boyle Library, Health Sciences Library, Laidlaw Library, the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery and the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery, together with our extensive digital platforms and online services. I oversee the development of hybrid services and digital infrastructures that ensure our knowledge ecosystem, physical and digital, is accessible, sustainable and future focused.

Beyond Leeds, I hold national and regional leadership roles with organisations, including Academic Libraries North (ALN), Jisc and Research Libraries UK (RLUK). I also serve on the Board of Trustees for UKSG, connecting academic libraries, publishers, intermediaries and technology vendors across the knowledge community.

  • CMI endorsed Post Graduate Diploma (PgDip) in Professional Practice (Senior Leadership)
  • ILM endorsed Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in Leadership and Management
