Collecting your requested items

Copies

Most copies are supplied directly to you from the British Library by secure electronic delivery (SED).

Copies not available from the British Library will be supplied as a photocopy.
You will receive an email to your University account when the copy is ready for collection.
Items will be held at the Brotherton Library and must be collected during staffed hours.

Loans

You will receive an email when your item is ready for collection.*
Items will be held at the Brotherton Library and must be collected during staffed hours.
The loan period is set by the lending library and the item is subject to recall.
Fines are payable for overdue items.
Subject to the lending library, items can be renewed: a charge of £3.50 is added to your library record.
If you lose the item you will have to pay a replacement charge, which is set by the lending library.

*Some items will be reference only.
This is stipulated by the lending library and we do not know until the item arrives whether or not you will be allowed to borrow it.
