Data management planning

DMP service offer

Completing a data management plan (DMP) early in the research lifecycle helps to establish good practice throughout your research project. If you are not sure where to start, the Research Services team can help with expert knowledge and experience.

A good DMP helps to establish a framework for handling, organising, storing and sharing research data, and to identify the resources needed.

Consultation and training

We regularly offer a workshop called ‘Research Data Management Essentials’. View and book available Researcher Skills workshops

We can signpost you to colleagues and services across the University including IT Services, Information Governance and the Contracts team

If you have specific questions or would like to book a consultation, please contact us

If you need help drafting your DMP or would like us to review a draft, please get in touch at least two weeks before your deadline.

The DMP service is available for all researchers and research postgraduates affiliated with the University of Leeds.
