Brotherton Library

The Brotherton Library (located in the Parkinson Building) contains the main collections for languages and the arts. Special Collections, including some of the UK's outstanding rare books and manuscripts, is also within the Library.

Edward Boyle

Edward Boyle Library

The Edward Boyle Library has over 2,000 study spaces, bookable space, the postgraduate research hub on level 13, accessible student studies and a café. It contains the main collections for Science and Engineering, Business, Law, Education and Social Sciences.

Health Sciences

Health Sciences Library

The Health Sciences Library is on level 7 of the Worsley Building and contains the main collections for medicine and health-related subjects. Access at weekends is via the Level 7 entrance only. Go across campus via the sustainable garden and along the walkway beside the Garstang Building. Scan your ID card to enter or press the intercom button for library help.


Laidlaw Library

The Laidlaw Library is situated on Woodhouse Lane. It has over 900 study spaces, including facilities for group work, bookable space, accessible student studies, on-site academic skills support Skills@Library and conveniently located café facilities. It contains the High Demand Collection and Core Texts.

St James's University Hospital Library

Based on the St James's University Hospital campus, the Library supports the information needs of University research and teaching staff, medical and healthcare students, and employees of the Hospital Trust. The Library is run in collaboration with LTHT and NHS library staff are available to assist Trust staff. The Library is based on level 3 of the Clinical Sciences Building.
