Post-doctoral fellowship opportunities
Apply now for this year's Brotherton Fellowships from Leeds Arts and Humanities Research Institute in collaboration with Special Collections.
Early-career researchers are invited to apply for the Brotherton Fellowship scheme, which is open to scholars of any discipline. Applications are open until Tuesday 11 February.
Successful applicants will carry out research using some of the rare and unique materials within our Special Collections over a four week period.
The fellowship offers the opportunity for early-career researchers to gain experience to support further post-doctoral funding applications at the University of Leeds.
Fellows receive an award of £2,000 living expenses and up to £500 travel expenses. Once research is complete, fellows will submit a short report and blog post.
Blog posts from previous years’ fellows are available to read on the Library blog and include such diverse topics as the Ken Smith Archive by Dr Ruth Burton; the Ripon Fragments by Dr Leonardo Costantini; seventeenth century travel writing by Dr Natalya Din-Kariuki; and inter-war adult education by Dr Pushpa Kumbhat.
