Flag Library Search issues with new feedback feature

Found a broken link or description error? Let us know.

Did you know that we have over 400 million items discoverable via the Library Search function? Despite our hard work to keep materials accurate and up to date, there are times when resources have errors or don’t appear when they should.

To improve this, our Metadata team have designed a new feedback tool for users to inform them of any errors or search issues.

Where to find the feedback button:

  • On desktop, located in the bottom right of the Library Search page, you’ll find a black speech bubble with a white exclamation point
  • On mobile, for each resource, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you’ll find the speech bubble and exclamation point next to “Give us feedback”.

If you have an issue to flag, click the button and choose one of three options:

  • “Broken link”
  • “Search issue” (choose this if your search isn’t providing the resources that it should)
  • “Resource description issue” (such as outdated subject terms or a spelling mistake in the title or author information)

Once submitted, a member of the Metadata team will investigate and reply to you.

If you have any further Library Search queries that don’t fit into the categories above, please contact our Metadata team at metadatamailbox@leeds.ac.uk.
