Celebrate International Women's Day with Treasures

Feminist Archive North take over Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery to celebrate women in science, engineering and technology.

Join us for a two-day pop-up exhibition celebrating the centenary of the Women's Engineering Society (WES). Feminist Archive North will be showing material from their collections related to women working in the sciences, following the launch of their new Women in Science and Engineering collection.

The exhibition opens on Thursday 7 March. Both days at 1–2pm will include a lunchtime talk where Lynette Willoughby (past president of WES) will give an anecdotal history of women in science, engineering and technology.

Material on display includes items from the archive of Bradford-based UKRC, an organisation created to promote gender equality in the sector.

Drop in between 11 and 4pm on Thursday 7 or Friday 8 March to experience the incredible history.
