Libraries here for winter break
Our warm study spaces and library services are available for research and revision over the holiday season.
Library services are available all through the holidays, whether you are staying in Leeds or heading elsewhere.
Laidlaw Library remains open 9 to 5
The Laidlaw Library is staying open between 9am – 5pm so you have somewhere to study and revise during the holidays. We will close the library on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day only.
Other campus libraries be closed on Friday 22 December and will reopen on Tuesday 2 January. Any enquiries sent during this time will be answered when we’re fully open.
If you’d like a change of scene, try our Spacefinder web app. You can see what study spaces are open around your current location, including computer clusters. Use Falco, the IT Services chatbot, to get the 24-hour access code for computer clusters.
From Tuesday 2 January, all our libraries reopen.
View our full opening hours for more information.
If you’re away from campus you can still access the full range of online resources including:
- ebooks and journals via Library Search
- subject-specific research databases to find journal articles and research papers
- academic skills advice from Skills@Library and research guidance on open access and research data from Researcher@Library.
You may wish to use Windows Virtual Desktop for more seamless access to online resources, without having to log in every time.
