Contessa Porzia Gigliucci was born in 1845, the eldest daughter and second child of Clara Anastasia Gigliucci (née Novello) and Giovanni Battista Gigliucci. She is often referred to as ‘Portia’ by her British relatives. She performed in public as a soprano alongside her sister Valeria Gigliucci. Like her sister, Porzia remained unmarried and died in 1938.
