It is unusual for a collection to contain all three volumes in such good condition.
The volumes are half bound in the original bevelled oak boards with the title of the volume written in gothic lettering in black ink at the head of the upper board.
Each volume has been re-backed in white pigskin. The pigskin spines have three raised bands and the pigskin is blind-tooled with a repeating pattern of stylised foliage on the upper and lower covers where it meets the wooden boards.
The title is tooled in black in the second panel of each volume, and the place and date of publication, Parmæ 1477, are tooled in black at the base of each spine.
