Recipes of Christmas Past

This resource uses examples from books in the University of Leeds Cookery Collection to illustrate the stories behind some traditional Christmas dishes, and look at the variety of ways in which people have celebrated over the centuries.

The Cookery Collection includes nearly 20,000 books and 60 individual manuscripts covering not only recipes but also food production, brewing, household management, gardening and medicine, comprehensively representing the last 500 years of culinary and social history.
