This 1929 edition of In a Glass Darkly is illustrated by Edward Ardizzone and is part of Special Collections Illustrated Books Collection. This wide ranging collection contains books from both 19th & 20th centuries and covers a vast array of topics.

Special Collections is also one of the few archives in the UK to hold original manuscript material relating to J. Sheridan Le Fanu. The Bennet Family Correspondence contains a series of sixteen letters from Le Fanu to Bessie Pigott Bennett (whose younger sister, Susan, he married in 1844).
