Hill returned to the poem nearly one year after his first drafts, in the next notebook in his collection.

This shows the first page of notes from '[King Log] Notebook V 1966 - 67' (BC MS 20c Hill/2/1/6).

Hill seems to have started work on the right-hand page of the notebook opening, before continuing on the left.
