Francis O'Gorman, former Professor of Victorian Literature at the University of Leeds, introduces the Brontë family manuscripts, which are part of the original Brotherton Collection.
The Brontës' home at the parsonage in Haworth is close to Leeds, just north-west of Bradford. It is now open to the public as a museum and library.
The Revd. Patrick Brontë served as perpetual curate from 1820 till his death in 1861, and his extraordinary daughters and son lived and died there.
