These databases are available for use by Leeds staff and students both on and off-site within the terms of the license agreements. Off-site users will need to login using their Leeds username and password.

Art Full TextSearch for journal articles in Art and Design as well as some aesthetic aspects of cinema. Indexing more than 500 journals as far back as 1984, this resource offers full text of an international array of peer-selected publications - with expanded coverage of Latin American, Canadian, Asian and non-Western art, new artists, contemporary art, exhibition reviews, and feminist criticism. The database is updated daily. |
Art Index RetrospectiveThis database allows you to search for journal articles in art and design, as well as some aesthetic aspects of Cinema. It covers the years 1920 to 1984. |
Bridgeman EducationBridgeman Education is a complete visual resource offering over 1,000,000 digital images of art, history and culture from global museums, galleries, private collections and contemporary artists all copyright cleared for educational use. Due to technical limitations, Bridgeman Education is only available on campus, or through Desktop Anywhere. |
DimensionsDimensions is the world’s largest linked-research database, covering articles, grants, patents, clinical trials, datasets, policy documents and technical reports. It also provides research metrics. There is a free version open to all, or a subscription version. You must register for an account with your Leeds email address to get full access, from a computer within the University’s IP range or through the virtual desktop. Once you are registered, you can access the database from off-campus. If you are a student, you can put “student” in the job title field. |
PassportData and market research reports on consumer markets worldwide. It includes market analysis and statistics, forecasts, information on the top brands and companies in a country or sector, and overviews of the major market factors. Search either by keyword, or by using the headings at the top of the screen to choose the type of information. Updated monthly. |
PsycINFOContains journal articles, books, dissertations and theses in core psychology disciplines, behavioural sciences and mental health. It covers 1881 to the present day. A current awareness service provides alerts for newly added content. Updated weekly. |
ScopusScopus is a large abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature from more than 18,500 journals and quality web sources, with smart tools to track, analyse and visualize research. Coverage starts from 1823. |
