These databases are available for use by Leeds staff and students both on and off-site within the terms of the license agreements. Off-site users will need to login using their Leeds username and password.

AfricArXiv AfricArXiv is a community-led multidisciplinary digital archive for African research. It is working towards building an African-owned open scholarly repository and a knowledge commons of African scholarly works to catalyse the African Renaissance.
Construction Information Service Construction Information Service (CIS) allows access to current regulations, construction standards, technical advice and industry news on building, engineering, design and construction processes in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. Search filters allow you to query over 26,000 documents including full text copies of British standards, CIBSE documents, and technical data from more than 500 publishers. Dimensions Dimensions is the world’s largest linked-research database, covering articles, grants, patents, clinical trials, datasets, policy documents and technical reports. It also provides research metrics. There is a free version open to all, or a subscription version. You must register for an account with your Leeds email address to get full access, from a computer within the University’s IP range or through the virtual desktop. Once you are registered, you can access the database from off-campus. If you are a student, you can put “student” in the job title field. Guide to using Dimensions
EconLit Good for economics and related subjects such as accounting, consumer economics, monetary policy, labour economics, marketing, economic theory and planning. It includes essays, research papers, books, dissertations, book reviews and working papers, and it is easy to search by keyword. There are no full text articles on EconLit so you will need to search the Library Catalogue for the journal title to see if we have it. Coverage starts from 1886. This database is updated monthly. PsycINFO Contains journal articles, books, dissertations and theses in core psychology disciplines, behavioural sciences and mental health. It covers 1881 to the present day. A current awareness service provides alerts for newly added content. Updated weekly. Advanced PsychINFO workbook
Scopus Scopus is a large abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature from more than 18,500 journals and quality web sources, with smart tools to track, analyse and visualize research. Coverage starts from 1823. Guide to using Scopus
Transport Database The main database for transport studies, including a combination of three databases: Transportation research information series (research information on all surface transportation modes, air transport, and highway safety); International road research documentation (abstracts on highway research provided by OECD member countries); and TRANSDOC (abstracts of transportation economics literature as well as bibliographic records provided by the International Union of Railways). TRID Database A database that combines the records from TRB's Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) database and the OECD's Joint Transport Research Centre's International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database. TRID provides access to over 900,000 records of transportation research worldwide. There are no full text articles on TRIS so you will need to search the Library Catalogue for the journal title or conference name. Guide to using TRID Database
Web of Science Search for journal articles using three databases; Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index and Arts and Humanities Citation Index.
