Returning items

The way to return items has changed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

On-campus returns

If you are travelling to campus to study or to work, you can return any on-loan items through the book slot near the Hillary Place entrance of the Laidlaw Library.

If you are using the click and collect service, you can return books to the trolley near the exit of the Edward Boyle Library.

Postal returns

If you are unable to visit campus, you can return items by post using the Royal Mail tracked returns service. Fill in your details and include Library as the department name to create your label. You can print your label at home and then drop your parcel at a Post Office or parcel postbox

if you don’t have access to a printer, you can receive a QR code which you can then take, along with your parcel, to a Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Point where they can print a label for you.

We will quarantine all returned books for three days before making them available for loan again. They will remain on your library account during this time.
