Disabled customers
Leeds University Library is committed to making our libraries and services accessible to all. We have a number of accessible study spaces, can help you to find and borrow items, and provide accessible training sessions, inductions and tours.
Disability support and services
We offer the following resources and services for our disabled customers:
- movement of items between libraries
- proxy borrowing: where a personal assistant, friend or colleague can reserve, return or collect items for you
- assistance with photocopying
- retrieval of material from shelves
- accessible training sessions and handouts
- induction and tours for new students.
We also have accessible study rooms in the Brotherton, Edward Boyle and Laidlaw Libraries.
Alternative formats of books and journals can be provided by the University’s Transcription Service. Contact them for more information.
