User behaviour policy

This user behaviour policy is designed to keep the libraries clean, tidy and suitable for all kinds of study. 

Please be considerate to other users by following the policy outlined on this page.

Food and drink 

The rules about food and drink in the Libraries are: 

• no hot food and lidded drinks only in any library space  
• cold food can be consumed in Group Space 
• no food is allowed in Silent Space. 

Please make sure you leave the study space clean and put any rubbish in the appropriate bins. 

Use Spacefinder to find cafés near each library. 

Noise levels 

The expectations around noise are: 

• Public Space: in the areas around entry gates and reception desks, a respectful volume level is allowed. 
• Group Space: conversation is allowed. 
• Silent Space: silence is expected. 

View the library floorplans to see which areas in each library are Public Space, Group Space or Silent Space.
