Who can use the Library

External visitors

We are open to external visitors who have an information or study need that can be met by our facilities and which merits ongoing access.

Annual membership with borrowing rights costs £200 (£100 concessionary rate – please contact us for more information on eligibility).

You can register online before visiting, or in person. On your first visit please go to any Library reception desk during core hours and bring some photo ID.

You can borrow up to 10 items.

Membership does not include access to Leeds University student computing facilities. A small number of Library computers are available for visitors, which offer access to the internet and restricted access to some Library electronic resources.

Day visitors

You can still use the library on a one-off day visitor basis if you have an information or study need that can only be met by using our resources.
