Help in person for taught students

Digital Drop-in

All students are welcome to come along to a Digital Drop-in to speak to an advisor or to work on digital projects with guidance on hand.

For example, you might have a specific question about software, a digital learning tool or digital study practices. Or maybe you just want to learn more about how you can use tech more effectively for study or to achieve your life goals. We’d love to meet you.

When and where is the Digital Drop-in?

Come to the Skills Zone on Level 1 of the Laidlaw Library every Wednesday from 1–4pm. No need to book. Just call in for a chat, or to use the space!

What is the Digital Drop-in for?

In a technology-driven world there’s lots to understand about software, tools and study practices. How can you build your digital capabilities for your studies and whatever you choose to do once you graduate?

The Digital Drop-in provides an informal space for you to talk through how to navigate technology. We’re also on hand if you want to ask specific questions about things you want to do with University online systems, or if you’d like to work on your digital capabilities more generally.

The University has invested in the JISC Discovery tool to help us develop digital capabilities. We’re here to help you get set up with this so you can access the online learning resources it offers.
