All taught students are welcome to come to our Writing Café.

Where is the Writing Café?

The Writing Café is in the Skills Zone on level 1 of the Laidlaw Library.

We are open Tuesday and Wednesday 10am – 1pm during term-time.

There is no need to book, just drop-in, help yourself to a drink and find a seat!

What is the Writing Café for?

The café is an informal space to work on your assessments and develop strategies for improving your academic writing.

If you want any advice on your writing, you can ask one of our friendly student academic writing mentors who run the café.

They can provide useful resources, break that writer’s block or help you understand your latest feedback. Their aim is to help you get started on your written assessments.
