Other information:
Updated: July 2021.
There are new limits to what open access articles the Wiley publisher agreement will pay for. This is because article submissions are at a high level.
From 1 July, article processing charges for Wiley’s journals will only be paid if they are funded by:
- UKRI
- Wellcome Trust
- Blood Cancer Now
- British Heart Foundation
- Cancer Research UK
- Parkinson’s UK
- Versus Arthritis.
For hybrid journals this will apply to all articles accepted from this date.
For open access journals this will apply to all articles submitted from this date.
Authors who have their own funding to pay for open access are eligible for a 25% discount by using the promotional code: KA6CA.
Use of the agreement is restricted to articles supported by these funders as they provide institutional open access block grants that are used to pay for the agreement.
These limitations will reset from 1 January 2022 when the agreement renews.
If this will affect your ability to comply with your funder’s open access requirements please contact the Research Support Team.
