Revision and exams

Further reading

Here are a few recommended books that you can browse or borrow:

Becker, L. 2010. 14 days to exam success. Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan. An easy to read pocket guide

Cottrell, S. 2012. The exam skills handbook. 2nd ed. Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan. This has plenty of activities and scope for reflection

Evans, M. 2004. How to pass exams every time. Oxford: How To Books. A brief and an easy read, this book makes a useful introduction. Checklists at the end of each chapter, and highlight boxes emphasising key points. The last chapter on exam techniques on the day is particularly useful.

McMillan, K. 2007. How to succeed in exams & assessments. Harlow: Prentice Hall. Even better, the 2nd ed (2011) is available online as an ebook.

Tracy, E. 2006. The student's guide to exam success. 2nd ed. Buckingham: McGraw-Hill: Open University Press. This is also available online as an e-book.

They can all be found in the Skills Zone on Level 1 in the Laidlaw Library (shelfmark Skills I-5).
