Create a standalone bibliography

EndNote Online can create a bibliography without inserting in-text citations.

You can either create a bibliography by using the “Quick List” function or from a named reference group in your library.

Quick List

To create a bibliography using Quick List:

  1. To create a Quick List, go to “My References”, select the references in your EndNote Online library and then click “Copy to Quick List”.
  2. In the Format menu, click “Bibliography”.
  3. Use the drop-down menus to select the Quick List, the referencing style, and the file format that you would like.
  4. You can choose to save, email or print your bibliography.

Reference group

To create a bibliography from a named group of references:

  1. Under the “Format” tab, click the link for “Bibliography”.
  2. Use the drop-down menus to select a group, the referencing style, and the file format that you would like.
  3. You can choose to save, email or print your bibliography.
